Our History
Brigham Young University was established in October 1875 as Brigham Young Academy. From the handful of students who walked that first campus, the student body has blossomed to a community of more than 34,000 students (9,350 of which are married) and 5,500 faculty and staff. The ability over the years of local and national businesses to reach the BYU community with their message has primarily been with the University newspaper. From the original paper, The Blue and White, to the current paper, The Daily Universe, many businesses have found success through advertising. Our relationships with our clients are well-established; several of our clients have worked with us for over 40 years. Readership and loyalty to University newspapers remains extremely high throughout the nation. Even with the advent of cable television, the Internet, and other new mass media, the newspapers in university communities retain a significant readership. The BYU community is no different. With weekly readership over 90 percent, and daily readership at 74 percent, The Daily Universe gets businesses in touch with our community.
We understand the growing need to provide results for our clients. As times evolve, so do we. In addition to the newspaper, we offer additional services to help our clients to reach their target markets. We have been and always will be here to assist our clients.
